Transparent Civil Society Initiative
Transparency means, among other things, informing the public about an organization's goals, where its funds come from, how they are used, and who the decision-makers are. In order to create transparency and enable you to quickly and easily gain a clear and comprehensive picture of PROBONO, we have joined the Transparent Civil Society Initiative. The initiative has defined ten basic pieces of information that every civil society organization should make available to the public.
Sustainability
... is very important to us at PROBONO. Sustainability is a key criterion in the design and implementation of our projects. Our aim is to work with schools to implement structural changes and help them to help themselves. We strive to establish long-term partnerships that enable us to monitor the impact of our projects over a longer period of time.
But we also critically examine our own work and office organization on an ongoing basis with the aim of becoming even more sustainable. For example, we use second-hand computers and printers, are moving toward a paperless office, and reduce flights by combining trips to different projects and staying longer on site rather than traveling more often. We offset our flights through Atmosfair.
